Paris Hilton has responded to reports that Ghislaine Maxwell tried to recruit her for Jeffrey Epstein, after it was claimed that Maxwell thought the heiress would be “perfect for him.”

Hilton, now 44, was reportedly just 19 when she caught Maxwell’s eye at a party. Sources said that Maxwell, who was dating Epstein in the ’90s, had set her sights on Hilton, thinking she would be an ideal match for the disgraced financier.

Maxwell, who was later convicted for her role as Epstein’s “chief recruiter” and a key player in his sex trafficking ring, was known for attending parties in search of young women who could be linked to Epstein. However, despite these claims, Hilton insists she has no memory of ever meeting Maxwell.

In a new interview with the Sunday Times magazine, Hilton said, “I don’t even remember ever meeting her.” Reflecting on the attention she still gets in the media, Hilton joked, “I’m such a good clickbait name.”

The allegations about Maxwell’s supposed intentions for Hilton were first made public by a former friend of Maxwell’s in 2020. Christopher Mason, a British journalist who knew Maxwell well, claimed that when she saw Hilton at a party, she stopped in her tracks and exclaimed, “Oh my god.” According to Mason, Maxwell then said Hilton would be “perfect for Jeffrey” and asked a friend to introduce them.

Although Mason did not provide a specific date for the encounter, it’s believed to have occurred around the year 2000, when Hilton was just starting her rise to fame after signing with Donald Trump’s modeling agency. At that time, she was 19 and on the verge of becoming a household name.

This was also when she started attending high-profile events, and a photo from a fashion show in New York in September 2000, showing Hilton, Maxwell, and Trump together, was featured in the documentary Surviving Jeffrey Epstein.

In the docuseries, Mason recalled how people were puzzled by the relationship between Maxwell and Epstein, who were romantically involved for a time in the ’90s. He said, “The rumors were Ghislaine was scouring New York finding younger girls to go on dates with Jeffrey. At the time it seemed a bit naughty.”

Despite Maxwell’s alleged plans, Hilton has made it clear she has no recollection of the encounter or any direct involvement with either Maxwell or Epstein.
