Paris Hilton Pays Tribute To Great Aunt Elizabeth Taylor

National tribute ceremony to late former EU Commission President Jacques Delors in Paris

Paris Hilton recently paid tribute to her great aunt Elizabeth Taylor on what would have been the late icon's 92nd birthday. The socialite shared two throwback photos on her Instagram Story, one featuring her as a child alongside her family members and Taylor, who passed away in 2011 at the age of 79. In another photo, a young Paris is seen standing next to the legendary actress.

This isn't the first time Hilton has honored Taylor on social media. In March 2022, she posted a picture of herself, her father, and Taylor, quoting the iconic actress's words about hope, kindness, and connection.

Elizabeth Taylor was married to Paris Hilton's great uncle Conrad Hilton Jr. for a brief period between 1950 and 1951. Following their divorce, Taylor went on to marry seven more times.

Taylor's granddaughter, Laela Wilding, spoke about her grandmother's legacy in a 2016 interview, emphasizing Taylor's activism, love for her family, and her compassionate nature. Wilding described Taylor as having a huge heart and being a unifying force within their family.

Reflecting on Taylor's personality, Wilding highlighted her grandmother's tenderness, vulnerability, and artistic soul. She noted Taylor's sensitivity, attentiveness, and comforting presence, describing her as a good listener and a source of comfort.

Elizabeth Taylor's impact continues to be felt through her family's efforts to preserve her memory and legacy. Her granddaughter's reflections offer a glimpse into the personal side of the iconic actress, showcasing her as not only a Hollywood legend but also a loving and compassionate family member.
