Paris Hilton is engaged - and her ring is beyond stunning.
After one year of dating, entrepreneur Carter Reum popped the question as the pair celebrated the 40th birthday of the Hilton hotel heiress on a private island.
He got down on one knee with an emerald-cut diamond ring designed by Jean Dousset, the great-great-grandson of Louis-Francois Cartier.
The three-stone ring, which, according to Daily Mail was estimated to be valued at a whopping $2m, was inspired by Paris landmarks including the Grand Palais and the Eiffel Tower.
Family, friends and fans of the mogul flooded her with compliments and congratulations after she announced the exciting news on Instagram.
In the snaps, she could be seen wearing a white embellished dress by Retrofête, which had a high slit and deep V neckline, as well as a Loschy crown, bedazzled fingerless gloves - and of course, the ring.
On Twitter, one person said: "Bloody hell Paris Hilton’s ring is $2 million. Wow!"
Another added: "So simple yet so elegant. Love @ParisHilton's engagement ring."
"Finally..." said a third, who then added: "But I wonder if Paris' tiara and dress and gloves combined are more expensive than the ring? Or the belt?"
But, a few others couldn't help but comment on her fingerless gloves, as one said: "How can she disrespect this huge diamond by keeping her 'not so flattering' gloves on?"
Another said: "Curious as to why Paris Hilton wore crystal mesh fingerless gloves for her engagement pics."
"Paris Hilton in her fingerless gloves... I can’t," wrote a third.
Describing the romantic moment on Instagram, Paris captioned her post saying: "When you find your soulmate, you don’t just know it. You feel it.
"As we walked to dinner along the beach, Carter led us to a cabana adorned with flowers and dropped to one knee.
"I said yes, yes to forever. There’s no one I’d rather spend forever with."
She finished with: "Here's to Love - the Forever Kind."
