Paris attacks: Will Smith, Sir Ian McKellen lead actors paying tribute to victims at Governors Awards in Los Angeles

Celebrities at the Governors Awards in Los Angeles expressed their condolences after Friday’s terrorist attack in Paris.

The event marked the annual celebration for the winners of The Academy of Motion Picture Arts and Sciences’ honorary awards.

Will Smith said: “Our hearts and our prayers go out to all the families involved.”

“What to do? Where does it end, how does it stop, what do you do?"

"I spend a lot of time travelling around the world, I consider myself a lover of all people, I feel there is some responsibility to do something but what? I’m at a lost.”

Also showing solidarity at the award ceremony was Sir Ian McKellen who emphatically said: “Terrorists want to disrupt normality. If you want to do something about it, you carry on."

"Be normal, do what you have to do.”
