Parents worried for missing Ayrshire teenage boy, 14, plea for him to 'come home'

An Ayr family are pleading for their missing teenage son to come home.

Cameron McInally, 14, failed to return home last night.

It is understood he was last seen with another teenager.

Anxious parents David McIlloney, 31, and Julie-ann McIlloney, 38, have launched a frantic search for their son and are concerned for his welfare.

The Belmont Academy pupil was last seen leaving his house on Princes Court, Ayr 4.30pm and was due to be back home at 10pm.

He was last spotted by his parents on Main Road, Ayr at 11.10pm where he then ran off.

Since then there has been no sighting of him.

Concerned mum Julie-ann told Ayrshire Live: “His dad and I went out to see where he was as he had not returned home.

“He was out with another boy who is 14 and we saw them both on Main Street around 11.10pm, but they ran away from us and then disappeared.”

Cameron was last seen wearing a black tracksuit, and a black and grey reflective hooded jacket.

He is described by his family as 5ft 4in tall with short, dark hair.

Cameron’s dad David added: “This has never happened before with Cameron.

“We are just worried for his safety, he can be quite boisterous. He does a lot of jumping and climbing, we are worried that he’s hurt himself.”

Police have confirmed they received a report of a missing 14-year-old boy from Ayr.

Area commander for South Ayrshire, chief inspector Brian Anderson, said: "Enquires are ongoing."
