The parents of Olivia Pratt-Korbel looked on as the man accused of her murder appeared in court this morning.
The nine-year-old was shot dead with a .38 caliber revolver inside her own home in Kingsheath Avenue, Dovecot.
The gunman had been chasing after Joseph Nee at the time of the shooting on Monday, August 22.

Olivia's mum Cheryl Korbel and dad John Francis Pratt were both in court to witness the hearing, flanked by police and with more than 20 members of the media also present.
Cheryl Korbel was escorted into a conference room with a detective.
Thomas Cashman is charged with the murder of Olivia Pratt-Korbel, two counts of attempted murder and two counts of possessing a firearm with intent to endanger life.
Cashman, 34, appeared before magistrates and the case was sent to Liverpool Crown Court for 2pm on Monday.
He was in handcuffs in the dock surrounded by four police officers during the hearing, which lasted about 10 minutes.
A second man, Paul Russell, 40, from Snowberry Road, West Derby, has been charged with assisting an offender. He was remanded in custody to appear at Liverpool Crown Court on October 31.
