Paramedics find heartwarming note left on ambulance windscreen

@dt_lloyd / Twitter

The UK ambulance service has had its fair share of notes left on their windscreens, and most of them have not been very welcoming.

man was arrested in May after leaving a scathing note on an ambulance at the scene of a medical emergency threatening it would be "smashed".

And earlier this year, 26-year-old Kirsty Sharman pleaded guilty to a public order offence and was fined £120 for leaving a foul-mouthed note on an ambulance and shouting abuse at a male paramedic in Stoke-on-Trent.

But paramedics in Wales were left smiling after they found an anonymous note left on their windscreens thanking them for blocking their driveway.

The witty note read: "Thank you for blocking my driveway to save a life. Refreshments [are] on me."

And a £5 note was tucked in a plastic pocket with the note.

The image was shared on Twitter by Dewi Lloyd from the Welsh Ambulance Service, who said it was left on one of the Flintshire ambulances.

His post has been liked more than 1,000 times and has drawn widespread praise from other users, with some saying the world needed more people like this.

One user wrote: "Brilliant, love the idea, well done to the person who did the deed!"

And another wrote: "At last! Someone with some sense and decency. Whoever you are, good one mate."
