Paola Cortellesi’s film 'There's Still Tomorrow' has emerged as a standout in the Italian film industry, securing 19 nominations for the prestigious 2024 David Di Donatello Awards. The black-and-white feminist comedy, which topped the box office charts in Italy last year, has garnered critical acclaim and widespread popularity.

In addition to the best film nomination, Cortellesi herself has been recognized with a nomination for best directorial debut for her work on 'There's Still Tomorrow.' The film, co-written by Cortellesi along with Furio Andreotti and Giulia Calenda, has been praised for its unique storytelling and cultural impact.

Competing with 'There's Still Tomorrow' for the best film award are other notable contenders, including Matteo Garrone’s 'Io Capitano,' Alice Rohrwacher’s 'La Chimera,' Marco Bellocchio's 'Kidnapped,' and Nanni Moretti's 'A Brighter Tomorrow.'

The 69th David di Donatello Awards ceremony is scheduled to take place on May 3 at the iconic Cinecittà studios in Rome, with the event set to be broadcast live on Italian public broadcaster Rai 1. The awards will honor excellence in Italian cinema across various categories, including best director, best original screenplay, best actor, best actress, and more.

International films are also recognized at the David Di Donatello Awards, with nominees such as Christopher Nolan's 'Oppenheimer,' Justine Triet's 'Anatomy of a Fall,' Martin Scorsese's 'Killers of the Flower Moon,' Aki Kaurismäki's 'Fallen Leaves,' and Rodrigo Sorogoyen's 'The Beasts' vying for the best international film award.
