Panthers’ new ‘process blue’ jerseys revealed on NFL Shop

If you’re a Carolina Panthers fan, this is no night to feel blue. Your team is prepared to kick off the 2023 NFL draft by diving headfirst into a new era for the organization, one that’ll presumably be led by soon-to-be franchise quarterback Bryce Young.

But it could be a night to feel the blue.

Ahead of Thursday’s first round of annual name calling, NFL Shop posted the team’s new jerseys—which feature a different shade of blue. Instead of the now former shade, the Panthers will don “process blue” moving forward.

The change was initially announced, or at least clarified, back on April 6. In response to a report from SportsLogos.net, the Panthers—per a team spokesman—released the following details about the uniform adjustments (and non-adjustments) for next season.

Those are as follows:

  • Silver will remain in the color scheme.
  • The current blue will be corrected to “process blue,” which is a similar shade to the end zones of Bank of America Stadium.
  • The shoulder stripes on jerseys will stop short of going under the armpit, accommodating a technological change made by Nike to maximize mobility.
  • The logo will remain as is.

There is no definitive word on if Carolina’s No. 1 overall pick will be holding up the blue threads later tonight.
