The Panthers have a new wide receiver. On Thursday the team signed Rashad Ross, who has been in the NFL before but was playing for the AAF’s Arizona Hotshots before the league imploded. Ross was arguably the top receiver in the league during its brief run. He scored the most touchdowns (seven) and had the AAF’s highest receiving grade from Pro Football Focus.

Ross is projected to take Damiere Byrd’s place as the last wide receiver on the roster. He’s also likely to have a role on special teams. When Ross was last in the NFL, he made his way as a kickoff returner. He has 812 career return yards and a touchdown.
