Panthers agree to terms with DE Henry Anderson

The Carolina Panthers are bringing back a familiar face for their new defensive front.

As announced on Tuesday evening, the team has agreed to terms with defensive end Henry Anderson. The details of the pact were not made official.

Anderson initially signed on with the Panthers a week before the start of the 2022 regular season. Before landing in Carolina, the 6-foot-6, 300-pounder and former third-round pick spent seven years at the NFL level—with stints for the Indianapolis Colts, New York Jets and New England Patriots.

Prior to their Week 7 matchup against the Tampa Bay Buccaneers, Anderson was placed on the reserve/non-injury list. He later revealed that he suffered from a minor stroke the night before the game.

He returned in Week 14 and proceeded to appear in each of the team’s final four outings. Anderson wrapped up the campaign with 18 combined tackles and a quarterback hit.
