Pannone Corporate, Johnson Service Group and more - latest North West hires and promotions

A law firm and a listed textiles specialist are among the companies to have announced key hires over the last week.

This weeks lists includes new hires at Pannone Corporate in Manchester and a board appointment at Johnson Service Group in Cheshire.

We also feature appointments at a project management consultancy and a car leasing specialist, as well as a new face at one of Liverpool's best-known venues.

Pannone Corporate

Law firm Pannone Corporate has strengthened its commercial and real estate teams with the appointment of Andrew West and James Harris as partners.

Mr West, who set up his own commercial law firm Rushmoor Law 11 years ago following more than a decade as partner at law firm Squire Patton Boggs, brings more than 30 years’ experience in advising a range of clients on IP, data and commercial issues.

Mr Harris joins from Knights plc, where he was a commercial property partner for more than three years. He was previously managing partner of Chester-based commercial law firm, Jollife & Co and has considerable experience in residential and commercial property development, as well as licensing for restaurants and public houses.

Paul Jonson, senior partner at Pannone, said: “We’re delighted to welcome Andrew and James to the firm – two senior hires who will add significant strength and depth to our commercial and real estate offering. Both markets have huge potential for us and Andrew and James will complement our existing teams in capitalising on the opportunities for growth.”

Johnson Service Group

Johnson Service Group has appointed Nicola Keach to its board as an independent non-executive director. She will also be appointed as a member of the audit, remuneration and nomination committees.

Ms Keach is chief executive officer of Tivoli Group, the UK’s leading independent grounds maintenance provider. She joined in November 2021 with a remit to grow the business both organically and through aggressive acquisition.

Before Tivoli, Nicola spent nearly a decade at utilities company ENGIE, latterly as chief executive officer for the UK and Ireland. Her early career was spent with Serco.

Jock Lennox, chairman of Preston Brook-based JSG, said: “I am delighted to welcome Nicola to the JSG board. Her wealth of commercial experience, including the leadership and development of a number of significant businesses, will broaden the board’s expertise and will serve the group well over the years ahead.”

RECOM Solutions

Construction project management consultancy RECOM Solutions, in Manchester, has welcomed back Sarah Leadbetter as head of its healthcare projects team.

She first joined RECOM in 2017 as an associate director from Deloitte Real Estate, before moving to Turner + Townsend in 2019 as a senior project manager and then associate director.

Sarah said: “RECOM’s culture and alignment with my own aspirations, together with the opportunity to make a difference in such an important sector, made the decision to return to the business an easy one.

“Since leaving in 2019, I have gained further experience working across large-scale, complex projects, and I’m excited to be bringing this knowledge back to RECOM which will assist with the growth of our healthcare offering.”

Leasing Options

Manchester-based car leasing firm Leasing Options has hired Pete White as its new Director of Online Sales.

Mr White will lead the company's sales team as well as growing and optimising its extensive network of sales channels.

He has more than a decade's experience in the motor industry, most recently working for the RRG Group on their Toyota brands. Before that he spent 12 years in various roles with the British Army, including training new recruits at Pirbright Army Training Centre.

Pete White, Director of Online Sales at Leasing Options said: “I’m really proud to be joining the Leasing Options family, especially considering the incredible successes the sales team have achieved over the last couple of years. I’m excited to extend this success and play my role in cementing our position as the UK’s leading car lease experts.”

Bromleys

Tameside-based law firm Bromleys has welcomed four paralegals to its team.

Claire Billington and Sophia Khan-Iqbal will specialise in cases involving domestic violence, divorce and children as part of Tameside-based Bromleys’ family and divorce team, which is headed by Keith Bull.

Olu Balogun and Sadaf Idrees have joined Bromleys’ Court of Protection and Powers of Attorney team, which is led by Francesca Rigby.

Bromleys’ senior partner Mark Hirst said: “The arrival of the four paralegals shows the upward trajectory of the firm.

“Our family and divorce team under Keith’s leadership is going from strength to strength and the addition of Claire and Sophia mirrors this growth. Similarly our Court of Protection and Powers of Attorney team has made positive progress and the appointments of Olu and Sadaf will give us a platform for further expansion."

Equity Release Supermarket

Two advisers have joined Birchwood Park-based Equity Release Supermarket.

David Bishop has joined the equity release advisory service with more than 40 years' experience in the financial advisory sector

Tim Feather has worked in the financial services industry since 2000. Before joining Equity Release Supermarket, Tim held managerial roles in Lloyds TSB and Barclays, and subsequently went on to work as an equity release adviser.

Mark Gregory, founder and CEO of Equity Release Supermarket commented: “Over the past two years, we have implemented new online processes, helping us to connect seamlessly to our customers, all of which has been highly well-received, therefore we have continued to aid this digital ambition in order to meet the changing demands of our customers. The Brink

Liverpool’s dry bar The Brink has appointed Lucy McLachlan as café manager following its reopening.

The well-known Parr Street venue closed in 2020 due to the financial impact of Covid-19 but returned this year run by national charity The Forward Trust.

Lucy joins the Brink after 15 years in the city’s hospitality industry, as well as assisting in theatre set designs across Europe and art departments of BBC dramas.

She said: “It’s the first time in my career that I’ve been this excited to tell people about my job. Working at The Brink is so rewarding - I absolutely love seeing people transform and everyone that comes into the space is just so grateful that we exist."

"Events at The Brink bring people together because they’re hosted in a safe space that allows people to socialise without the pressure of drinking alcohol, whether it’s an art workshop, a comedy night, a live music set or even watching football on the TV, there’s something for everyone to enjoy."
