Pamela Anderson Loose Women interview branded 'car crash TV' as star appears in bed with husband

Loose Women stars were left in disbelief when guest Pamela Anderson did a live interview in bed with her new husband, with some viewers branding it 'car crash TV' and an 'all time low' for the show.

Friday's host Nadia Sawalha had just told those watching at home "Wow have we got a love story for you" before explaining that former Baywatch star Pamela and fifth husband Dan Hayhurst met each other at the start of lockdown last year, before getting married in an intimate ceremony at her home in Canada on Christmas Eve, as pictures of the couple flashed up on screen.

But no-one was expecting what happened next as Nadia crossed live to Pamela to find her under the covers with her bodyguard other half, leading to her shouting: "And here they are...in bed!"

Former EastEnders actress Nadia then added: "To quote you 'in the arms of the man I love is where I want to be' - I didn't think we were actually going to see you in the arms of the man you love," to which Pamela replied: "oh we haven't left bed since Christmas Eve."

As Pamela struggled with her camera, Dan spoke to the Loose Women panel, asking "how are you ladies?" to which Nadia responded: "You don't need the Maldives or Cancun, I suppose the best place for a honeymoon is snuggled up in bed!"

He answered her: "Exactly! Why go anywhere?"

Pamela explained they met while he was working on her home, saying: "I got stuck here during Covid and we stuck together...we're still stuck together," to which Nadia quipped: "not at this minute I hope!"

As the interview continued, a giggling Pamela and Dan kept switching camera angles as their bed sheets rustled and, bringing the chat to a close, Nadia told them: "It's been lovely spending time with you in bed....I think that's the most unusual chat we've ever had," with panellist Stacey Solomon declaring: "I just loved every second of how in love they are."

Twitter was full of reactions to the bizarre and unexpected TV interview.

Reacting at home, one viewer ranted: "Pamela Anderson interview was an all time low for this programme," and, echoing those sentiments, another tweeted: "Just watching Pamela Anderson interview on Loose Women. So awful I had to turnover. It’s like the programme hit an all time low."

A third posted: "This Pamela Anderson interview on #loosewomen is the weirdest thing I have ever watched."
