Palnackie, Colvend and Kirkgunzeon Primaries recently held Scots verse competitions.
Each of the schools then selected an overall junior (P1-P4) and senior (P5-7) pupil to go forward to the partnership final which was held at Colvend with judges from Dalbeattie Burns Club leading proceedings.
Oskar Lye and Zara Williamson were chosen from Palnackie with Steven Gillon and Daisy Keiley from Colvend and Nathaniel Ferguson and Harry Little from Kirkgunzeon.
Mr Sanderson, Mr Cloy and Mr Henry presented two new trophies.
The overall junior winner was Oskar Lye from Palnackie for his rendition of Miss Maverick. The senior winner was Harry Little for his expressive recitation of the Wee Kirk Moose.
