LEICESTER: Crystal Palace climbed out of the drop zone with a convincing 3-0 win over 10-man Leicester City in Premier League action at King Power Stadium on Saturday.

The improving London side, with their first away victory since April 23, have now gone seven matches unbeaten in the Premier League for the first time.

Christian Benteke ended a 13-match goal drought with a 19th minute header that was also Palace's first away goal of the season. Wilfried Zaha added the second goal five minutes from halftime. Bakary Sako added a third tally late into injury time in the second half.

The hosts, meanwhile, lost Wilfred Ndidi on a red card in the 61st minute and never seriously threatened after that.

With the three points, Palace jump up to 14th place pending the outcome of later matches. Thai-owned Leicester squandered a chance to gain ground on seventh-place Arsenal, who are at home to Newcastle later on Saturday.

The victory also ended Leicester City's four-match unbeaten run against Palace in League play. Palace skipper Roy Hodgson has never lost against Leicester City as a manager.
