The traveller was on an international journey from London to Nepal with Mumbai as her connecting stop, and being aware of the complexities of transit rules—especially as a Pakistani passport holder—she prepared in advance by contacting IndiGo nearly a month before her trip, where she was reassured that Pakistani nationals are allowed to transit through Mumbai as long as they do not leave the airport.

During her preparation, she also familiarised herself with transit guidelines related to longer layovers, which can vary depending on duration, but since her layover was well within the permitted time, she was able to proceed without any complications or concerns.
Her layover lasted around 10 hours inside the airport’s international terminal, where she spent her time resting, eating, and observing the surroundings, noting that despite not stepping outside, she could still catch distant glimpses of Mumbai, while also appreciating the polite and supportive behaviour of the airport staff throughout her stay.
There was a brief moment of concern when she was approached by airport staff regarding a “suspicious item” in her bag, which was later identified as a power bank, and although it required inspection, the situation was handled calmly and professionally, leaving her with a positive overall impression.
The video quickly gained traction online, gathering lakhs of views and thousands of likes, with many users appreciating the authenticity of her experience, while others shared helpful tips such as carrying power banks only in cabin luggage, and some even welcomed her to Mumbai while suggesting local dishes like vada pav and misal pav.
