Paisley 'pitbulls' attack: Woman mauled in terrifying early morning incident

A woman suffered serious injuries when she was mauled by two pitbull-type dogs.

The 47-year-old was rushed to hospital with injuries to her face and leg after the animals pounced on her in Woodside Crescent, Paisley.

One of the dogs involved is fawn and the other brown, the Paisley Daily Express reports.

Police investigating the attack say they want to trace a man spotted in the area at the time, who could have vital information.

He is described as 6ft tall, with a medium build, short dark hair and was wearing a leather jacket and dark blue training shoes.

The woman's current condition is unknown, and police are anxious to speak to anyone who witnessed the attack.

A Police Scotland spokesman said: "The incident occurred around 5.45am on Thursday, March 18.

"Police would like to speak to anyone who witnessed this incident."

Anyone with information should call police on 101 or Crimestoppers anonymously on 0800 555 111.
