
Police are warning West Side residents after a couple armed robberies were reported in Homan Square and Lawndale this month.
In each case, the suspects approached someone, displayed a handgun and stole property, Chicago police said in an alert.
A robbery took place about 12:40 p.m. Sept. 22 in the 3300 block of West Roosevelt Road, police said. Another happened about 2:45 p.m. the next day in the 1200 block of South Sawyer Avenue.
The suspects are described as one to two males who are 16 to 20 years old, police said.
