Paddy McGuinness gets the same comment as he becomes Ginger Spice in snap from show that 'never aired'

Paddy McGuinness has been sent the same message by fans as he was seen channelling Ginger Spice. The Top Gear host put in an impressive display as he slipped into Geri Horner [nee Halliwell's] famous Union Jack dress.

Paddy, 49, could be seen sitting on a chair with his legs out wide, showing off his long red boots. He also sported a ginger-haired wig as he posed alongside comedian Leigh Francis, known for his alter ego Keith Lemon. And Leigh looked completely different too in a sixties-inspired satin suit with platform boots on his feet.

Explaining what was happening in the picture to his two million followers, Paddy wrote in the caption: "The Celebrity Juice episode that never went ahead. We were walking down to set when word came through that filming was cancelled!"

The Bolton-born presenter and actor then added: "I was still dressed as Ginger Spice while the powers that be told us about the Covid situation. Absolutely bonkers evening!" Leigh was among the first to respond to the post, writing: "I think we both look really good!"

But it's fair to say that Paddy's fans and followers were distracted by the same thing. @mycaw77 said: "Either way you've a cracking set of pins in them boots." @carole7700 wrote: "Great legs." @dianemccomish commented: "Definitely NOT skipped leg day."

@jenniesweetpea replied: "Nice legs, shame about the… cancelled show." @louhemingway posted: "Some good looking legs there Paddy." @mantis1275 typed: "Still seems surreal now what we have all been through, stunning legs Paddy lol." @hannahbeedellavon added: "Wowsers just look at those legs."

It comes after Paddy shared a throwback snap that had Top Gear fans all sharing the same sentiments. The picture was taken at Soccer Aid 2018 and followers were quick to spot his Top Gear co-star Andrew "Freddie" Flintoff in the line-up.

The former cricketer was taken to hospital after being involved in a horror accident while filming for the hit motoring show in December. Last month, it was reported he was taking each day as it comes after the car crash. And Paddy's photo saw get well messages for Freddie pour in, with many saying they miss seeing the star - alongside a flurry of fingers crossed emojis hoping for his return.

Some also asked Paddy how Freddie is doing, while many simply asked him to pass on their love. @mcfadden724 said: "Aww I miss seeing Freddie I hope he is doing well" and @mrsg1983 wote: "Awwwww Freddie. Hope he’s doing ok xx miss u all on top gear xxx."

@dianexx40xx said: "Aww Freddie I’ve missed him on our screens hope he be back soon" and @jenniesweetpea said: "Aww Fred - can’t wait to see the three of you back on Top Gear together." @scottlewis73x said: "Hope Fred’s going on ok ??? Get him back on the box Pad", while @foschops said: "I hope Freddie is doing well, can’t wait to see him on the tv again fighting fit."
