What to know from Matt LaFleur's pre-practice press conference

— LaFleur says Peyton Manning addressed the team on Monday. “I thought it was super beneficial.” The Hall of Fame quarterback was in Green Bay to see practice.

— No concern on David Bakhtiari, who didn’t practice Monday. Still going with modified practice schedule, expecting to practice at Family Night.

— On Carrington Valentine: Very athletic, made flash plays, taking coaching. “I think we have a good young player there.” Wants to see him in joint practices and the preseason. “Has a great attitude, he’s very, very talented.”

Practice news, updates

— The Packers are signing offensive lineman Cole Schneider, who was with the team during last year’s training camp. He played in the USFL recently.

— The Packers are also releasing rookie tight end Camren McDonald and rookie guard Chuck Filiga. Also signed was receiver/tight end Andre Miller.

— Zach Tom was getting first-team reps at center.

— Take a look at this crazy catch from Romeo Doubs against Jaire Alexander in 1-on-1s.

Good day for Sean Rhyan during 1-on-1s, or a very bad day for Colby Wooden.

— More impressive flashes from Devonte Wyatt.

— Anders Carlson starts 2-for-3 on field goals, and then finished 4-for-6. During the competitive periods, Carlson made 1-of-2 “game-winners.”

— A long touchdown from Danny Etling to Bo Melton.

— The defense won the competitive period once again. They are 6-for-6.

Injury updates

— David Bakhtiari is in full pads and prepared to practice Tuesday.

— Center Jake Hanson has an elbow injury and isn’t practicing Tuesday, which is likely why the Packers added more depth inside.

— Josiah Deguara and David Bakhtiari appeared to drop out of practice, per Rob Demovsky. Tyler Goodson returned after an injury.
