Packers trade OL Justin McCray to Browns for swap of draft picks

The Green Bay Packers traded versatile offensive lineman Justin McCray to the Cleveland Browns for a swap of undisclosed 2020 draft picks.

The Browns announced the transaction on Saturday.

McCray, an undrafted free agent signed by the Packers in 2017, played in 25 games with 13 starts over the last two seasons in Green Bay. He began the 2018 season as the starting right guard but was more recently competing for a backup job along the interior of the offensive line this summer.

Completing a trade with Cleveland will reunite McCray with former Packers offensive line coach James Campen.

McCray has experience at both guard positions, center and right tackle.

The Packers are expected to keep rookie Elgton Jenkins, 2018 draft pick Cole Madison, veteran Lucas Patrick and offensive tackle Alex Light as the backups behind the five offensive line starters.
