Packers’ Matt LaFleur: Titans’ Derrick Henry presents ‘tremendous challenge’

When the Tennessee Titans and Green Bay Packers meet in Week 16 at Lambeau Field, two of the best offenses in the NFL will take the field in a game that could see plenty of scoring.

For the Titans, their offense is centered around star running back Derrick Henry, who not only is capable of making plays with his legs, but the mere threat of his ability to run the football sets up the passing game, also.

And former Titans offensive coordinator and current Packers head coach Matt LaFleur understands that completely.

On Monday, he explained why it’s so difficult to face a Titans offense that is currently No. 1 in scoring (H/T Titans247).

“He (Henry) sets it all up because you’ve got to play the run,” LaFleur explained. “They will stay consistent and they will pound you into the ground. When you start stepping up and trying to take the run away, they throw the ball over your head. It’s going to be a tremendous challenge for our defense to stop him.”

While the Packers’ defense is going to have its hands full with keeping the potent Titans’ No. 1 scoring offense in check, the same can be said for Tennessee’s defense against Green Bay’s explosive offense.

The Packers enter this game with the No. 3 scoring unit in the NFL and rank 8th in passing and rushing yards per contest, setting up for an offensive showdown between two of the best teams in the NFL.

Tennessee and Green Bay will kickoff at 7:20 p.m. CT on Sunday night.
