Black Sabbath's highly anticipated reunion show is facing a last-minute change, as Wolfgang Van Halen has confirmed he’s no longer part of the event due to scheduling conflicts.
The update comes just weeks before Ozzy is due to take the stage at Villa Park in Birmingham on July 5 for Back To The Beginning for his final live performance.
The special homecoming show will feature a short solo set before he reunites with Black Sabbath bandmates Tony Iommi, Geezer Butler and Bill Ward for the first time in two decades.
The concert boasts a star-studded roster, with Metallica, Slayer, Pantera, and Anthrax among those joining the bill.
However, Van Halen, who had initially been announced to appear, has now revealed that he’s had to withdraw.
“ I, unfortunately, had to back out because the Creed tour starts the day after, and I wouldn't be able to pull it off unfortunately,” the Mammoth frontman told WRIF Detroit.

“I'm very excited to watch it, but I unfortunately had to back out.”
The son of rock icon Eddie Van Halen and actress Valerie Bertinelli, Wolfgang is due to hit the road this summer as part of Creed’s Return of the Summer of '99 Tour, which begins in July.
His band, Mammoth WVH, is set to support the group on select dates.
Despite his absence, the concert lineup remains packed with heavy-hitters including Alice In Chains, Gojira, Billy Corgan of Smashing Pumpkins, Steven Tyler of Aerosmith, Guns N’ Roses, and the surviving members of Soundgarden.
The news comes after Osbourne’s daughter Kelly shared a reassuring update, saying the rock legend is “fine” despite his ongoing battle with Parkinson’s disease.

The rocker revealed in 2020 that he had been diagnosed with the progressive neurological condition and paused touring in 2023 after extensive spinal surgery.
Osbourne previously had a fall at home in 2019 which aggravated injuries from a near-fatal quad bike crash in 2003.
And prior to his upcoming gig the rocker recently spoke about battling nerves, ADHD, and even joked he might "die a death" before hitting the stage.
In light of his remarks, Kelly reassured fans about her father’s health.
Speaking at the Serpentine Summer Party in London on Tuesday, Kelly told The Standard: “Oh don't worry, dad’s fine. I mean he's got Parkinson’s [disease] but he's fine.”
