Ozark's Ruth Langmore star leaves fans 'in tears' with heartfelt goodbye

Fans of hit Netflix show Ozark left fans feeling very emotional after her farewell message ahead of the final series of the drama.

Ozark fans were left devastated by the news that the fourth series would be the final instalment of the show which also stars Jason Bateman.

And many viewers were left teary eyed by Julia Garner's goodbye message on social media.

The actress, 27, plays Ruth Langmore in the production and took to Instagram to share a number of behind-the-scenes shots from her five-year stint on the show.

She wrote a lengthy farewell message in the caption which read: "It’s been a little over two weeks since we wrapped the final season of Ozark - I’ve been processing a lot.

"It was beyond hard saying goodbye to so many people I love so dearly, this was a VERY SPECIAL job, and over the last five years we really became family.

"This show has changed my life in many ways. I feel so grateful for the beautiful lifelong friendships I have made on this show.

"OZARK was a magical moment in time, you all inspired me in ways I cannot even express, and I thank you for that."

She concluded her post: "I love you and miss you. And for everyone that watches our show, I can’t wait for you to see the final season."

Thousands of fans flocked to the comments section to share their thoughts shortly after the actress had posted.

One user wrote: "Ozark is amazing! Can’t wait for the final season but also sad."

Another said: "You are, by far, the best character of that incredible show."

A third penned: "“IT CAN’T BE OVER," followed by a crying face emoji.

A host of celebrities also commented to share their appreciation.

Actor Aaron Paul said: "Yeah girl!! What an incredible piece of television history you all are a part of. Congratulations on closing this beautiful chapter. You have so many more that we are all waiting to see. So happy for everyone involved. What a gift."

Trevor Long, who starred as Julia's on-screen "bad dad" Cade Langmore, wrote: "Family for life."
