Owner of Belfast restaurant Taquitos heartbroken after early morning fire

The owner of a popular West Belfast restaurant says he is gutted after a blaze on Friday damaged the premises.

Gary Quinn, owner of Taquitos on the Andersonstown Road and at The Big Fish, was alerted to the fire this morning, which was caused by accident.

Speaking to Belfast Live, Gary said: "It was early this morning and loads of people were phoning me to tell me.

"I got down there at about 10am and it was awful. The back kitchen is burned, all the stainless steel damaged and the fridges and trolleys also burned.

"The walls and everything. It is really bad and I am just gutted. It has been a really tough few months.

"The Big Fish is still operating as we speak.

"We are closed in Andersonstown now and I hope it is just for a few weeks. I am going to go hell for leather here to get the place back up and running. Nothing will keep me down."
