CHANDIGARH: The region on Sunday reported 333 fresh cases of Covid, with Haryana leading the tally with 302 cases, followed by Punjab and Himachal Pradesh with 23 and 8 fresh cases respectively. No fatalities were reported from any of the three states, while 456 patients were declared recovered in Haryana.
In Haryana, Gurgaon reported 241 new cases, followed by 46 cases from Faridabad. 8 cases were reported from Panchkula, while two cases each were reported from Ambala and Rohtak districts. According to the state health department, 160 cases are active in Punjab, while 78 are active in Himachal.
On the vaccination front, 792 were given the first dose while the second dose was given to 2,166 people in Haryana. In Punjab, 6,198 people were vaccinated on Sunday, out of which 428 got the first dose and 5,770 received their second shot.
Meanwhile in Himachal, new cases include 4 from Chamba district, and 2 each from Shimla and Solan. The recoveries include 2 each from Hamirpur, Kangra, Shimla, and Solan.
