Over £250,000 worth of cannabis uncovered during police raid in Errol

Over £250,000 worth of cannabis was uncovered during a police raid at an industrial unit in Errol last week.

On Friday, September 17, officers from the Community Investigation Unit based in Perth executed a search warrant under the Misuse of Drugs Act at a premises on Valleyfield Farm Trading Estate.

Within a unit, a large-scale cannabis cultivation was found and plants were seized which had an estimated street value of £280,000.

Constable Craig McLeod said: “This seizure was as a result of information provided to us by the local community, and we understand that drugs and associated criminality is of concern to local residents.

"No arrests have been made and officers are continuing with enquiries to trace those associated with the cultivation in the unit.

"As part of this we’d ask anyone with knowledge of who was accessing the area, or who may have seen any suspicious behaviour or vehicles in the Errol area, to report this to us so that we can investigate.”

Anyone who can assist with this investigation should contact officers via 101 and quote incident number 0528 of September 17, 2021.

An anonymous report can be made to Crimestoppers on 0800 555 111.
