Outlander stars soak up the Glasgow sunshine at the Botanic Gardens

Cast members from hit show Outlander enjoyed some down time today at the Glasgow Botanic Gardens.

The cast are currently filming for season six at the Outlander studio in Cumbernauld, but a few of the cast used their time off to soak up the Glasgow sunshine.

Lauren Lyle, who plays Marsali Fraser, posted a video on her Instagram of her and her on-screen husband Cesar Domboy, who plays Fergus Fraser and also John Hunter Bell who plays Ian Murray, sitting on the grass at the Botanic Gardens in Glasgow.

Lauren posted pics of the stunning views on her story and was over the moon to spot some cute dogs on her travels too.

Filming for the sixth season is currently in full swing.

Due to the coronavirus pandemic, the filming for season six had to be delayed but the crew are back and taking extra precautions on set.

Just last week, Outlander fans were jumping for joy as the cast confirmed that they would be returning for a seventh season of the popular show.

The cast, which includes Sam Heughan, Caitriona Balfe, Sophie Skelton and Richard Rankin, made a video on the official Outlander Instagram page to 'end the speculation' on whether the show would be returning after the sixth season.

In the video, the four actors can be seen reading out questions from fans all with the same subject matter.

Sam Heughan, who plays Jamie Fraser, read out a question from his on-screen wife Caitriona Balfe.

He read out: "@CaitrionaBalfe Am I coming back to work next year and can I have a bigger trailer?"

Looking amused, Sam then added: "I'm afraid Caitriona no you can't have a bigger trailer, however, you are coming back for season seven! Yes!'"

While one penned: "This is the news I needed today! Thank you everyone @outlander_starz, I'm looking forward to it"

And another added: "Omg omg omg literally jumping for joy right now!!! I am so excited and this just made my entire day, month and year so much better knowing we have a season 7 in the future!"
