Ousmane Dembele set to stay at Barcelona despite Manchester United links with chances coming at Nou Camp

Barcelona winger Ousmane Dembele is set to stay at the Catalan club amid reports of a possible move to Manchester United.

The 23-year-old made just nine appearances for Barca in an injury-hit 2019-20 campaign and the Blaugrana have considered a sale in order to raise funds for a new forward this window.

However, coach Ronald Koeman revealed on Saturday that the French forward had not asked to leave and added that he would be given opportunities if he stays at the Catalan club.

"There is a lot of quality and competition in attack," he said. "Ansu [Fati] is ahead of Dembele.

"If anyone is unhappy, they should tell me. I want to have happy people here.

"If he doesn't want to be here, he should tell me and he hasn't said anything to me. If he doesn't say anything, he will have opportunities to play."

Dembele played the last 20 minutes of Barca's 4-0 win at home to Villarreal last weekend, but was an unused substitute in the 3-0 victory at Celta Vigo on Thursday.
