Oumar Niasse offers update on Everton future as rumoured interest in striker grows

Oumar Niasse has revealed he is still unsure of where his future lies as the Everton man continues his loan spell.

The striker has spent the second half of this term with Cardiff City and is bidding to help them avoid relegation - but is yet to find the back of the net in 10 appearances for his new side.

Heading into the last few matches of the season the Bluebirds find themselves 18th in the Premier League and five points away from safety, with things looking more bleak after a 2-0 defeat to Burnley on Saturday.

However, speaking about his long term future, Niasse admitted he hasn't made a decision just yet.

"But my future we're going to decide at the end of the season," the striker told the Daily Star.

"The end of the season is just six games to go and at the end of the season I'm going to have one year left with Everton.

"I will see openly what exactly the football [club] is going to give to me.

"Like I've been doing all my career, I'm going to fight for Cardiff and then I'll see what's going to happen."

Niasse is still focused on doing his best for his current club - and he is still enjoying life in South Wales.

He added: "I will try to do my best. Everyone is doing their best at the football club.

"It's part of football - and as a player - to just fight for what you like.

"And that's what I'm doing just loving football, playing and giving people smiles.

"If I can do that for Cardiff people, I will do it."
