Oti Mabuse lands Saturday Night Takeaway role for series finale of ITV show

Fresh from judging the Dancing on Ice final, Oti Mabuse will star in the final episode of Saturday Night Takeaway this weekend.

After delighting viewers over the past few months, Ant and Dec will bring their hit ITV show to an end for another year on Saturday, with scores of fans gutted it's finishing. Highlights of the latest run include Michael Buble performing twice, a unsuspecting bride to be getting married live on the show, an emotional family reunion and Ant and Dec having a fabulous drag makeover to perform with the stars of RuPaul's Drag Race UK.

There was sadness in living rooms across the country last weekend when Ant revealed that Takeaway was ending, but there are still 90 minutes of madness to enjoy before the show's credits roll for the last time in 2022. Details are still rather scarce on what we can expect from the series finale, although Ant and Dec have shared the news that Lee Mack will be the star guest announcer.

And something else that has been divulged is that Oti will follow in the footsteps of her former Strictly colleague Craig Revel-Horwood by becoming the latest star of the always entertaining I'm A Celebrity Get Out of My Ear. A preview clip has circulated showing both Oti and a actress being fed instructions through ear pieces by Ant and Dec, with hilarious consequences.

Oti's Saturday Night Takeaway appearances comes right after she was confirmed as the host of new ITV singing dating show Romeo & Duet. The programme will see singles stand on a Juliet-style balcony as they are serenaded by potential suitors, who they'll be able to hear but not see. Each of the singers gets just one song to try and tempt their Juliet down to meet them.
