While it’s extremely unusual for folks to get the villain edit on a show like Dancing With The Stars (DWTS), it appears that one of this year’s contestants fears they might’ve copped exactly that!
ICYMI, DWTS 2025 is set to kick off tonight on Channel Seven and 7plus at 7 pm (ooo look, angel numbers) and with the new season comes a fresh batch of celebs who are set to turn up on the dance floor.
For folks who’ve yet to feast their eyes on the glam bam that is DWTS, it follows a bunch of celebs who put their dancing skills (specifically anything to do with ballroom) to the test for some cashola.
Ahead of this season’s dance extravaganza, incoming contestant and possible DWTS 2025 winner, Osher Günsberg, has hinted that he could be this year’s villain, which is quite wild because the show has never really had a villain edit like Married At First Sight or Farmer Wants A Wife.
Speaking to Yahoo! Lifestyle, the former Bachelors host explained that he has “no idea how he will be edited” and that he believes he “played [his] part pretty well”.
“I did my best to make sure I could give the judges a good reason to do the thing that they’re paid to do, and I think I did a pretty good job at that,” he dished.
“You don’t want to be boring when you’re doing these kinds of shows. You want to be like, how am I going to get these judges to do the thing that people love them for?
“I think I played my part pretty well, but they might go for the villain edit, I don’t know!”
While he’s unsure about what kind of edit he would be copping, he admits that it “could be fun” if he does get the villain chop.
“It was hard enough showing up to work every day and standing next to Sonia Kruger, who, I mean, the Gold Logie I was nominated for is in her house. So that was fun,” he continued.
Look, it’s no secret that PEDESTRIAN.TV does have a soft spot for Günsberg, especially after all those years of Bachie, so we wish him the best for this dance fest!
