Orkun Kokcu's three-word Instagram message amid talk of £23m Arsenal transfer

Orkun Kokcu's potential move to Arsenal this summer has been a hot topic this week, and he has a message surrounding all of the rumours.

As reported by football.london earlier in the year, the Feyenoord youngster is on the Gunners' radar for the summer transfer window along with Gent forward Jonathan David among others.

And the first week of June has suggested that the north London outfit are 'increasingly likely' to submit a bid to sign the midfielder.

James Benge Arsenal Q&A

That's according to Voetbal International journalist Martijn Krabbendam, as per Sport Witness.

The report states that Mikel Arteta's plan is to completely overhaul the Arsenal squad by building a 'young and talented' team, which has led him to looking at Kokcu whom he believes perfectly fits in with the philosophy he is trying to build at the club.

A fee to sign the 19-year-old is reportedly in the region of £23m.

But what does the person at the centre of all the rumours make of what is being said about his future? Well, he just might have responded with a subtle three-word message on social media.

Kokcu has made a noticeable change to his Instagram profile biography.

"Let them talk" he wrote, which was accompanied with a ‘zipped mouth’ emoji.

This could be seen as the teenager directly responding to the latest rumours about his future and perhaps telling Arsenal and Feyenoord fans to let the media continue talking.

If the Gunners are able to pull off a deal for Kokcu then they would be signing one of the best midfielder's in Holland right now.

"He would need to adjust because the step to Arsenal and the Premier League is totally different when you compare it to Holland,” former Manchester United defender Jaap Stam told Goal. "The pace of the game, the quality, the intensity is a lot higher.

"But he has the ability. He is a player who has the personality to want to improve, he always wants to do better. He’s never happy with himself, he’s disappointed if he doesn’t score, or his passes aren’t good enough.

"When I joined Feyenoord, he hadn’t played a lot because everyone said he was too young. I put him in the first team and let him play most of the games, I trusted him and saw a lot of ability in him. Now he’s proving himself in Holland and is one of the best midfield players in the country.

"He’s certainly got the ability to make that step to the Premier League."
