‘Open Hormuz or you’ll be living in hell’: Trump’s expletive-laced rant at Iran, threatens attack on Tuesday

US President Donald Trump on Sunday issued an expletive-laden warning to Iran, demanding that it reopen the Strait of Hormuz. He threatened severe military action, saying that Tuesday would be “Power Plant Day and Bridge Day".

"Tuesday will be Power Plant Day, and Bridge Day, all wrapped up in one, in Iran. There will be nothing like it!!! Open the F*****’ Strait, you crazy b******s, or you’ll be living in Hell - JUST WATCH! Praise be to Allah." said the US President on Truth Social.

This comes as Trump on Saturday, gave another 48-hour ultimatum to Iran to open Strait. “Remember when I gave Iran ten days to MAKE A DEAL or OPEN UP THE HORMUZ STRAIT. Time is running out--48 hours before all hell will rain down on them. Glory be to GOD! President DONALD J. TRUMP," he had said.

Iran however rejected Trump’s threats with Tehran’s central military command issuing a sharp rebuke. General Ali Abdollahi Aliabadi from Khatam al-Anbiya Central Headquarters described the US president’s remarks as “a helpless, nervous, unbalanced and stupid action.”

Echoing the tone of Trump’s warning, he added that “the simple meaning of this message is that the gates of hell will open for you,” according to Agence France-Presse.

Meanwhile, in another post, shared just few minutes before the above threat, Trump talked about rescuing a pilot whose jet went down in Iranian territory. "We have rescued the seriously wounded, and really brave, F-15 Crew Member/Officer, from deep inside the mountains of Iran. The Iranian Military was looking hard, in big numbers, and getting close. He is a highly respected Colonel. This type of raid is seldom attempted because of the danger to “man and equipment.” It just doesn’t happen!" he said.

Giving further details on the op and announcing a press conference for Monday, he added, "The second raid came after the first one, where we rescued the pilot in broad daylight, also unusual, spending seven hours over Iran. An AMAZING show of bravery and talent by all! I will be having a News Conference, with the Military, at the Oval Office, on Monday, at 1:00 P.M. God Bless our great MILITARY WARRIORS!"

This comes with regards to a US F-15 fighter jet that was shot down by Iranian air defences earlier this week, prompting a rescue operation to recover its two crew members. One airman had already been retrieved, while the second was subsequently rescued.
