Only Shea McGee could create the chicest wicker Christmas trees – they are charming, rustic, and under $20

Rattan christmas trees lined up on a mantel with garland.

Christmas is all around us. Yes, it's only October, but like every year, it's now when all of the best festive decor makes its way to the shelves of home stores everywhere.

If you're a lover of Target, like I am, you'll know that they recently launched their Christmas collaboration with none other than interior design royalty, Shea McGee. As expected, the collection is filled with all sorts of stylish decor to make your home feel festive (and still chic) for the holidays. But, after browsing the many products and adding far too many of them to my basket, there was one piece I had my eye on right from the start – the rather quaint rattan Christmas trees that I instantly pictured sitting happily on my mantel.

Shea and wicker go hand in hand. We all know her wicker witch's hats go viral, and sell out every year (although right now they are in stock and 50% off!). So wicker Christmas trees make sense. And with the smaller sizes retailing at less than twenty dollars, I didn't think twice about adding a trio of them to my haul.

Plenty of rattan has been featured in this year's Christmas decorating ideas, and I can see why. What I love most about the wicker trees is that they perfectly balance festivity with style.

They stray far from the typical kitschy Christmas decorations that define past holidays and feel so on-trend for 2025. Like all good rattan decor, what makes Shea's Christmas trees perfect for the holidays is their rustic style, guaranteed to give your space a cozy, homely feel that's so fitting for this time of year.

Whether you're shopping all three sizes and creating a dramatic display of trees of varying heights along your mantel or simply scattering them across your home for pops of festivity, I can think of plenty of ways I'll be featuring it in my holiday decorating this year. Keep it minimal and place one small tree at the heart of your dining table or, for an added dose of Christmas cheer, try wrapping LED fairy lights around your tree for some drama.

The wicker trees aren't the only wicker pieces in Shea's Target collection or in her own holiday collection at McGee & Co., either. There are plenty more pieces to bring this rustic trend into your home over the holidays.
