One of Wales' leading architectural firms has ceased trading

One of Wales' leading architectural firms has ceased trading with the loss of 40 jobs.

Cardiff headquartered Boyes Rees Architects, whose chief executive was Jane Boyes, was put through after experiencing cash flow issues caused by project delays and late payments.

Siann Huntley and Andrew Beckingham of Leonard Curtis Business Rescue & Recovery, have been appointed joint administrators of the business.

The business, which was established in 1994 and also had a London office, was put into administration by its directors.

In a statement Leonard Curtis said: "The company was placed into administration by its directors after it experienced difficulties caused by late payment of client invoices and project schedule slippages.

"After seeking the appropriate professional advice, the joint administrators were appointed. Trading ceased immediately and all employees were made redundant.

"Leonard Curtis is working with all key stakeholders to achieve the best possible outcome."

The Cardiff office of Boyes Rees was located at Greyfriars House in the city centre.
