One of country’s best safeties visited Ohio State over last weekend

A program like Ohio State is always on the clock with recruiting. Players get offers, commitments occur, and visits seem to take place more often than not. Some go under the radar, others are well-publicized.

On that note, in case you missed it, the Buckeyes welcomed four-star safety Jordan Morant to campus over this past weekend, and he appears to have been extremely happy with his visit based on the post to his Twitter feed.

Before we get ahead of ourselves here, Morant is out of Oradell, New Jersey which is historically Penn State territory. True to form, the 6-1, 195 lb. DB already has an offer from the Nittany Lions as well as Michigan, Alabama and yes, Ohio State.

Morant did identify a final ten on April 3 that includes the aforementioned programs in addition to Notre Dame, USC, Clemson, LSU, Miami and Texas A&M.

There has been no timetable set for a decision for the 2020 prospect, but the amount of NFL-caliber defensive backs Ohio State has churned out in recent years no doubt gives the Buckeyes a good shot.
