One feared dead after horror smash between bus and car on Moray road

One person is feared to have died today in  a horror smash between a bus and a car in .

Cops, fire crews and paramedics were all called to the A96 near Elgin at the junction of , at around 9.30am.

The Record understands that one person in the collision but police would not confirm if there were any fatalities.

Four ambulances and a paramedic response unit were sent to the busy road.

A Police Scotland spokeswoman confirmed cops were still on the scene and that the road in both directions could be closed for some time.

Local diversions have now been put in place.

Three patients were taken to Dr Gray’s Hospital in for further assessment.

A Scottish Ambulance Service spokesperson said: "We received a call at 09.25 hours on to attend a road traffic collision on the A96 .

"Four ambulances and a paramedic response unit were deployed to the scene and three patients were taken to Dr Gray’s hospital for further assessment."
