ONE Championship’s first live event of 2020 sees the Asian martial arts promotion return to a familiar venue as Bangkok’s Impact Arena plays host to ‘ONE Championship 106: A New Tomorrow’ in Thailand.
The card features a host of striking-based matchups, with five muay Thai bouts and one kickboxing match, but while the organization’s flyweight muay Thai title may be on the line in the final bout of the evening, all eyes will be on the night’s featured MMA clash, as two-sport ONE champion Stamp Fairtex bids to continue her winning start to life as a mixed martial artist.
The Thai atomweight already holds ONE’s muay Thai and kickboxing titles, and wants to become the first three-sport champion in the organization’s history, and her next test will see her face off against Indian wushu champion Puja Tomar.
Also on the card is former TUF and Contender Series competitor Thanh Le, who takes on former Shooto featherweight champion Ryogo Takahashi, while former CFFC prospect Joey Pierotti will bid to continue his strong form with a win on his promotional debut against Russia’s Raimond Magomedaliev in a welterweight bout.
