One Bhagavad Gita Verse for True Equanimity, Success & Peace

Bhagavad Gita is a sacred text that has been helping humanity overcome all kinds of life struggles for thousands years. Each and every word contained in the work is filled with divine wisdom. In fact, Lord Krishna is considered as the supreme deity who has the power to obliterate the sorrow of every sincere devotee in this world. Therefore, by reading and by understanding Bhagwan’s teachings in Bhagavad Gita, we can attain great spiritual progress and prosperity in life. In this article, we will explore one of the most important verses in the text that uniquely summarises the fundamental message of Gita for Moksha and success in life.

In chapter 5, Lord Krishna tells Arjuna:

“Those whose minds are established in sameness and equanimity have already conquered the conditions of birth and death.”

One of the most important qualities of a truly spiritual person is his or her ability to see God in everything and in everyone. This happens when we truly surrender our heart and soul to Bhagwan. As a matter of fact, Lord Krishna reminded Arjuna about the same in this way: “He who sees me everywhere and sees everything in me will not be lost to me, and I will not be lost to him.”

Bhagavad Gita points out that the same eternal consciousness is active in every living being in this world. Hence, no individual is above or below another. To manifest this realisation at an experiential level, we can start fulfilling our duties as our offerings to Bhagwan. Every deed that you perform should be dedicated to the Supreme. This mindset shift can help us a lot in attaining liberation from all the cravings and aversions that bind us strongly onto earthly attachments.

Secondly, we can develop a habit of meditation. We can meditate by maintaining the image of Lord Krishna in our minds. As days pass, you will experience your mind becoming equanimous with heightened spiritual awareness.
