In sports betting, there’s winning and there’s WINNING.
Most people never get to see the latter, but one Championship Sunday bettor is not most people.
Instagram user @jetthonig_ turned a $20 free bet into a $579,020 payout by correctly predicting the score of each conference championship game as part of a parlay, according to Pickwise.
Odds that Jett’s prediction would be correct for the Cincinnati Bengals-Kansas City Chiefs game were +22000. And odds on the San Francisco 49ers-Los Angeles Rams score were +13000, creating a parlay of +2895000 odds. Thus, the massive payout.
Even better, FanDuel confirmed two more parlays correctly guessed the score of both games, leading to payouts of $145,000 and $58,000, respectively.

It was improbable enough to pick one game correctly, but after the Bengals-Chiefs game ended in a 27-24 win for Cincinnati, hope was alive. That hope likely turned to optimism once the Los Angeles Rams kicked a field goal with under two minutes left to take a 20-17 lead. And that optimism was probably pure elation once Jimmy Garoppolo threw the game-sealing interception on the ensuing drive.
The winner, Jett Honig, is probably freaking out right now after turning gas money into a small fortune. But it’s hard to tell as they smartly have their Instagram page restricted. Otherwise, there would be no shortage of third cousins hopping into the DMs to introduce themselves.
