On World Heart Day, TOI Medithon to educate on cardiovascular health, alarming trends in heart diseases and how to prevent it

Early onset of heart diseases, rising cases of heart related complications in young adults and the sudden risk to cardiovascular health is a matter of concern. Health experts have been pushing the younger generation to alter their lifestyle habits, adopt healthy ways of living so as not to put any adverse pressure on the delicate organ.

World Heart Day, which is observed on September 29, is a global initiative to raise awareness about heart diseases and promote good health. Established by the World Heart Federation, it encourages individuals, communities, and governments to take steps toward reducing heart disease risk.

To contribute towards creating awareness around heart health, TOI Medithon will be held on World Heart Day, 11 am onwards. This initiative, , aims to highlight strategies to prevent the onset of cardiovascular health to help individuals achieve optimal health goals. The Medithon will have eminent doctors in attendance who will share insights on the life threatening disease and how to prevent it.
