Pilgrims continued to flock to the Grand Mosque on Sunday amid strict COVID precautionary measures to perform the Islamic Hajj rituals.
Today, known as the day of Al-Tarwiyah, the Pilgrims are getting prepared before they head to Mount Arafa on Monday for prayer in what is considered the most important pillar of the pilgrimage journey.
The General Presidency for the Affairs of the Grand Holy Mosque and the Prophet's Holy Mosque had set an integrated system of services and precautionary measures to serve the pilgrims.
The services provided this year include carrying intensified disinfection operations at the Grand Holy Mosque and its surrounding area.
Three main gathering points were also set to enable the pilgrims to perform Hajj rituals with ease and comfort.
Also, thermal cameras have been placed at entrances of the Grand Mosque to monitor the temperature of those entering the area.
Translation services in 10 different languages have been put in place for pilgrims.
