Olly Murs says he'd 'die of a broken heart' if fiancée ever broke up with him

Olly Murs has opened up about his affection and love for his bodybuilder fiancée Amelia Tank, citing her as his rock through some incredibly hard times.

And the Troublemaker singer, 38, has said that he would "die of a broken heart" if Amelia ever left him.

His upcoming album - Marry Me - is unsurprisingly inspired by his fiancée, who he met at a gym during a workout session in 2019.

Opening up about her influence on his writing, he told Christine Lampard on Lorraine: "The album is not a lovey dovey album, really, there's just little nuggets of her in it.

"The song, particularly, Die with a Broken Heart... I mean, genuinely, I probably would die of a broken heart."

Christine gushed: "That's so lovely, Olly!"

"I know," he smiled while blushing. "I never thought I'd say that on national TV!"

He continued: "The album, I'm so proud of it. It's been a long two or three years away."

Speaking about them both training together, he admitted being shocked at seeing how much his body had changed since they began training together.

"You forget when you put it on social media and then you see it on TV," he said. "I was so overweight!"

The Voice coach shed two stone and gained a six pack after Amelia inspired him to get back into shape.

He previously told The Sun: “I was 14st 3lbs. I'm always between 12st 8lbs and 13lbs. And I'm 12st 8lbs now.

“To be that heavy was not good for me. I did not feel fit, I was having really bad sleepless nights, I was grumpy.

“I just wasn’t myself so I’m glad I’ve got back to where I feel most comfortable.”

Opening up about how his approach to music had changed since being in love, he said: "I don't want to spend too much time away from Amelia and the dogs...

"It's nice! I always used to think after going home at Christmas after doing an album [that] I wouldn't have anyone to share it with."
