Olly Murs was forced to leave the stage during a gig to check on a fan who was having a seizure in the audience.
The Troublemaker singer, 37, is currently touring the UK, and on Sunday, he was performing at Colchester Castle Park in front of thousands of fans.
However, he paused the gig when he noticed one of his young fans, Abbie, 14, was having a seizure and needed medical attention.
The Dance With Me Tonight hitmaker stopped singing and asked the teenager’s mum if he was okay to carry on as she was treated by paramedics.
Abbie’s mum Mel took to Twitter after the concert to thank Olly for his kind gesture, and the former X Factor star personally replied, sending the poorly teenager his well wishes.
"@ollymurs thank you for coming down off the stage to talk to my daughter after she had a seizure tonight. You really are so kind and you made her night xx,” she wrote.
The singer retweeted Mel’s message, and wrote: "Oh god I hope she is ok!! Do send her my love x."
His fans were overwhelmed with his touching response, and heaped praise on him for making sure the young fan was doing okay following the scary incident.
"You have a heart of absolute gold and testament to why you’re still doing what you do best after 11 years,” one wrote on Twitter, while another said: "This is the reason I love Olly Murs and Take That as they aren't stuck up and they appreciate what they have achieved. Hope your daughter is OK and that was such a lovely thing to do."
"Such an amazing guy, you truly are something special. The way you show care for your fans during a scary time just shows why you are loved so much and are still in the career you love,” one tweeted, as an adoring fan added: "How lovely for you to take time to talk to her. Such a kind thing to do x.”
Mum Mel later revealed that she was touched by Olly’s compassion toward her daughter, and said that he paused the entire gig until Abbie was safely in the first aid tent.
“Olly came down off the stage, came over to my daughter and asked her if she was okay, told her not to cry, asked her if she had had a nice time, and thanked her for coming,” she recalled, adding that Abbie was sat on a chair near the stage as she tried to recover from her seizure.
Olly was holding her hands as he spoke to his teenage fan, and told Abbie he “hopes she feels better soon.”
Calling the presenter a “kind, genuine man”, Mel said he made Abbie feel better during what was a “scary, upsetting time.”
“She was in total shock, bless her…Olly was amazing but the real hero here is my little girl who has been through hell this last year since her diagnosis. Olly is a hero too though.”
