Olivier Dacourt sends a message to Leeds United fans about promotion

Former Leeds United midfielder Olivier Dacourt has tipped his old club for a return to the Premier League.

Marcelo Bielsa 's men are currently top of the Championship table with the season on hold due to the coronavirus pandemic.

And old favourite Dacourt, who played at Elland Road for three years from 2000, making 57 league appearances, is tipping Leeds for promotion back to the promised land.

A Leeds fan on Twitter named Kane Clarke posted about his strange dream. He said: "Had a dream last night that I met Olivier Dacourt, one of my favourite Leeds players when I was a kid.

"He was just casually walking up some street in the full yellow away kit from the 00/01 season. Sound as f he was too."

And Dacourt tweeted back with a message Leeds fans will love.

He said: "Maybe next year at Elland road when @LUFC will be in Premier League."

Supporters flooded Dacourt with replies after that, with more than 1,000 likes so far.

From the replies, it's pretty clear the Frenchman won't have to buy his own drinks if he does return to Elland Road.
