It’s off to the next one for Ohio State. After annihilating Maryland this past weekend, it should be a similar showing when the Buckeyes hit the road to play Rutgers, and they might be looking to make a statement.
That’s because many — likely including the team — believe the College Football Playoff Committee continued to show its bias towards the SEC by elevating LSU over an Ohio State team that has been more dominant from the start of the season than any we’ve seen in recent memory.
Of course, blowing out one of the worst Power Five opponents in the country will do nothing to change that perception, but don’t be surprised when this team continues to look focused and hungry.
So let’s get on with it. Here’s our Buckeyes Wire contributors’ predictions for the game.

Ohio State 63, Rutgers 7
The Buckeyes made Maryland look like a high school team last week, and that means it might make a worse Rutgers team look like the JV unit. There’s just too much skill, coaching and talent for the Scarlet Knights to even hope to be competitive. There might be some scoring in junk time, but keep that bus warmed up…

The end of the season can’t get here quick enough for Rutgers football. And it’s going to get worse before it gets better. The Buckeyes walk into SHI Stadium, take care of business and come back to Columbus to start prepping for Penn State. The game will be over quickly in terms of score, but it’s going to be a real long day for the Scarlet Knights.

This won’t be pretty. Similar to Maryland last week. Poor Piscataway. That is all.

Ohio State 70, Rutgers 3
It feels ridiculous to make a prediction this lopsided but I’m not sure how Rutgers ever stops the OSU offense. I also expect a couple defensive scores. Rutgers is simply overmatched.
