Ohio State slips in AP Poll despite Georgia loss. But how far?

The latest AP Top 25 was released on Sunday, and after seven weeks of the college football season, Ohio State has slowly and surely continued to climb. It got all they way up to No. 3 last week.

But wait, not this time. OSU fell a spot in the latest release of the AP Poll despite the team it was neck and neck with falling at home.

While the Buckeyes enjoyed an off-week and will again be in action for a Friday night affair against Northwestern in Evanston, other teams had a chance to make an impression. Apparently, LSU did just that. Georgia did not.

While the Bulldogs fell to a suspect South Carolina team between the hedges, LSU and Joe Burrow disposed of Florida in Death Valley and got a bump in the AP Poll — leapfrogging Ohio State while the Georgia fell out of a tie for No. 3 with Ohio State.

Here’s the complete AP Top 25 after week six.

1. Alabama
2. LSU
3. Clemson
3. Ohio State
5. Oklahoma
