Ofcom reveals the worst mobile and broadband providers in the UK

If you've got broadband or a mobile phone, you're likely to have complained about the service at one point or another.

However, some of us experience issues with our providers more than others, and sometimes, it can be difficult to know which company is best to choose, reports WalesOnline.

In a bid to help consumers, Ofcom has released a list of the phone, landline and broadband providers which receive the most complaints from customers, and one company has topped them all.

According to Ofcom, Vodafone is the most complained about provider across mobile, landline and broadband.

Virgin also appears on all three lists, with Plusnet and TalkTalk ranking for both landline and broadband suppliers.

The lists are as follows.

Most complained about mobile providers:

  1. Vodafone
  2. Virgin Mobile
  3. BT Mobile
  4. Sky Mobile

Most complained about landline suppliers

  1. Vodafone
  2. TalkTalk
  3. Plusnet
  4. Virgin Media

Most complained about broadband suppliers

  1. Vodafone
  2. Plusnet
  3. TalkTalk
  4. Virgin Media

Speaking about the findings, Fergal Farragher, Ofcom's director of consumer policy, said: "People have never had more choice in the phone and broadband markets.

"It's also never been easier to switch your service. So companies that don’t prioritise great service could see customers leaving them for ones that do."

Ofcom says if you do want to complain about your provider, you should go to them first.
