Odsonne Edouard agrees Crystal Palace contract as Celtic star signs five-year deal

Crystal Palace have agreed a contract with Odsonne Edouard which will see the Celtic striker join the club.

The Frenchman has reportedly signed a five-year deal with the London outfit and will make the move to the English Premier League.

He had just 12 months left on his deal at Celtic Park and has been looking to leave over the last year and it has now been agreed and he'll move to England.

Edouard played his last game in green and white in Sunday's 1-0 defeat to Rangers at Ibrox and was hooked after 66 minutes.

But he has had a successful four years at the club after joining from PSG on an initial loan deal before Celtic then splashed £9million on him under Brendan Rodgers.

The former Celtic boss wanted to take him to Leicester this summer but couldn't agree a deal and they eventually signed Patson Daka instead.

Ange Postecoglou had hoped to persuade Edouard to stick around in Glasgow but Edouard becomes the second player to leave the club on deadline day.

And he'll join up with France legend Patrick Vieira at the club and that played a part in convincing him to join Palace.

It's believed the fee is around £15m.
